The CEO of Habitat New Zealand, board member Tony Lanigan, and volunteers from Build Tech observed Habitat Nepal’s project activities in Eastern and Central Nepal from 28 May to 1 June 2018.
During their visit, they interacted with Habitat Nepal’s partner organization- Sahara Nepal and Habitat homeowners. The team also visited a flood response community where Habitat Nepal built 1300 temporary shelters.
On 29 and 30 May, they lent their hands in building a permanent house for Kala, a member of a socially excluded community who lives with her five children, a daughter-in-law and a handicapped father in Arjundhara municipality -5, Jhapa district.
The team members appreciated Habitat Nepal’s work in building strength, stability and self reliance for families in need of housing.
