New strategy gets official stamp of approval

Social Welfare Council of the Nepal Government gave its stamp of approval for a new Program Agreement with Habitat for Humanity Nepal on 5 January 2017. The program title, Chhana: Safe Shelter- Resilient Communities embodies the core concepts of the new strategy that will guide Habitat Nepal’s work in the country for the next five years. The Chhana Program brings together all Habitat Nepal activities under a single strategic framework to better channel our efforts and resources toward ensuring that families in need in the communities where we work have access to a safe and decent place to live.

SWC Member Secretary, Mr. Dilli Prasad Bhatta and Habitat Nepal National Director, Cheryl Groff signed the agreement on behalf of their organizations. SWC Member Secretary, Mr. Dilli Prasad Bhatta wished Habitat for Humanity Nepal success for all our work in the upcoming years.
