Habitat for Humanity Nepal’s Women Build Team promotes lively discussion on ensuring access to decent housing for women

 

Kathmandu, 7 March 2016 ─ Ahead of International Women’s Day, Habitat for Humanity Nepal and its Women Build Team jointly organized a panel discussion on “Ensuring Access to Decent Housing for Women” in Kathmandu on 7 March. High level government officials, Ms. Yosodha Timilsina, Commissioner, National Information Commission, Mr. Deependra Nath Sharma, Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development and Ms. Sapana Pradhan Malla, Senior Advocate were on the lively discussion panel. More than 60 participants including corporate executives, influential women leaders, scholars and media representatives were part of the discussion on the role of public-private-people partnership in ensuring women’s access to decent housing and the right to own a home.
