Habitat for Humanity Nepal and Architecture Sans Frontieres Nepal jointly organized a ceremony to mark the closing of the Nepal Earthquake Assistance Program in Tupche, Bidure Municipality on 30 June 2018. A total of 217 houses were rebuilt in Tupche ward 6 and 8. Habitat Nepal provided technical assistance through its Housing Support Service Center located within the community to build back safer homes. Grants, top-up and labour (volunteer) support were also provided to the most vulnerable families to rebuilt their homes. Sanju Pandit, Mayor of Bidur Municipality, Fai Sing Tamang, Chairperson of ward 8 and Apsara Thapa, Vice chairperson of District Coordination Committee were among the guest of honor.
On the occasion, two community buildings were handed over to the PASSA groups in ward 6 and 8 respectively. The community buildings were initiated by the PASSA groups and supported by Habitat Nepal.
